I am Shu, an architectural designer and researcher inspired by the subtle interactions between nature and architecture. My work reflects a journey of exploring how abandoned urban spaces can reveal hidden connections between ecology and human history. From my graduate project Invisible Scars, which focused on memorializing the remnants of bombed buildings in London, to my current research, I have continuously sought to understand how design can evoke reflection and promote coexistence between human and non-human worlds.

Rather than limiting myself to academic frameworks, I enjoy engaging with creative projects that translate complex ecological and philosophical concepts into tangible design outcomes. My experiences include collaborating on urban renewal projects, creating installations that reinterpret urban ruins, and facilitating workshops on ecological visualization. Through these efforts, I aim to merge practical design approaches with a deeper appreciation for the beauty of natural and historical processes in urban contexts.
